She died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 in Goldthwaite.
She was born March 1, 1930 in Grosvenor to Lonnie Dean Stanley and Jewel Welty Stanley. She married Willis Taylor "Buddy" Rountree on Jan. 28, 1947. She was a registered nurse and a Baptist.
Survivors include sons, Jerry Rountree and wife Linda of Goldthwaite and Bobby Rountree and wife Jana of Goldthwaite; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Wayne Stanley and Chester Eugene Stanley; and sister, Nettie Jean Stanley Tatum.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and brother, Lonnie Dale Stanley.
Betty married Willis Taylor Rountree, son of M. T. Rountree and Bertha Nichols, on 28 Jan 1947.
