In Memory of Patsy Wall
August 24, 1937 - September 14, 2012
Patsy Jonel Watson Wall, 75, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Friday, September 14, 2012 ending a life of unwavering faith in God, always faithful, loving and kind; a wonderful example and inspiration to us all. Patsy had endured several years of health issues with her family by her side and now she is free from the body that bound her to this earthly life.
Patsy grew up in Oatmeal, Texas and attended the Oatmeal School through her eleventh year. She graduated from Bertram High School and went on to graduate from Durham Business College.
In 1955 Patsy meet the love of her life, Ira lee Wall at the Oatmeal Homecoming. Ira was just out of the service and could not get his mind off this beautiful young woman. One year later, August 18, 1956 Patsy Jonel Watson married Ira Lee Wall and they became one for 56 years. They lived in Spicewood, Texas and Patsy worked for the Spicewood Post Office. They moved to Oatmeal, Texas in 1960 and worked in farming and ranching while the children were at home. They have two children, daughter, Patty Lee Wall, son, Billy Ira Wall and grandson, Ira "Hunter" Wall. Patsy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After the children were grown she open a floral shop called The Flower Patch. She loved designing flower arrangements and making people happy. A few years later she returned to the postal service as a rural carrier and retired from that job fourteen years later.
Patsy was never too busy to help anyone and for many years she helped members of the community. She felt she could make a difference in the community where she lived and we believe she did.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Alberta Watson, her daughter, Patty Wall and numerous aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband, Ira Lee Wall, son, Billy Ira Wall, and grandson, Ira "Hunter" Wall.
Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Oatmeal Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be Darrell Debo and Jim Allen. Condolences may be made at www.clementswilcoxburnet.com. 4
Patsy married Ira Lee Wall, son of August Emiel Wall and Augusta Heine.
