Kitty Lorraine Rogers was born 1925 to Ed Rogers and Eunice Henderson in Texas. In 1935 they lived in Mertzon, Texas. When she was 14 she lived on a farm in Grandfalls, Ward, Texas with her parents, 2 brothers and 5 sisters on F Street. About 1940 she came to California with one of her sisters and her husband. They picked cotton, that's how she met her husband. She Married J Hughes Chandler on March 30th 1942 in Firebaugh, California. She was 17 and he was 21. They had 8 children.

On October 18, 1959, Kitty picked up 6 of her kids at the movie theater and on the way home another car ran a stop sign and hit them. Four or her children passed away, Jim walked home to get his father and Kitty and Louise were taken to the hospital.
Kitty had 10 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Children at the time of her death. ¹
