Funeral services for Effie Kerby, 97, of Goldthwaite will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4, at Stacy-Wilkins Chapel with Bro. Dan Connally officiating.
Burial will follow in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She died Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, in Brownwood.
She was born Jan. 11, 1909, in Killeen to J.T. and Mattie Holmes Hardcastle. On Dec. 20, 1926, she was married to Frank Kerby in Mills County.
Survivors include her son, Leland Kerby of Woodward, Okla.; daughters, Dorene Head of Lake Brownwood and Corene Egger of Kermit; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kerby; a son, Herbert Kerby, her parents, sister, Mary Koen, and two brothers, Dub and J. D. Hardcastle.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Goldthwaite or the charity of your choice.
