Bill lived in Oberlin, Kansas until 1920 when he moved to the Wallace Creek Area near Grand Valley, Colorado. Bill worked for Union Carbide and retired in 1962. He was a boiler operator. He and Ruby had lived in Rifle, Colorado since 1925. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Neighbors of Woodcraft, and the First Christian Church.

Bill married Ruby Leona Egbert, daughter of Walter M. Egbert and Effie E., on 26 Dec 1925 in Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado. (Ruby Leona Egbert was born on 13 Apr 1904 in Owsley, Johnson County, Missouri,¹ died on 30 Nov 2000 in Rifle, Garfield County, Colorado and was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rifle, Garfield County, Colorado.)
