In the 1930 census, John's household consists of the two youngest children, married son John P. with his new family, and his 78 year old widowed mother, Mary Catlin, who indicated she was born in Louisiana. He worked as a retail merchant, grocery store. He owned his home in Eagle Lake, Colorado County, Texas, which is valued at $4000. ![]() John married Agnes G.
