Elmer Lee Beam, 81, of Marble Falls died Oct. 8, 2012. He was born on March 1, 1931, in Claremont to Clyde and Emma (Tatum) Beam.
He came to Marble Falls in 1961 and worked as a farmer and at Texas Granite for 27 years as an explosives expert. He loved to hunt and fish and was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Marble Falls.
He married Lillian Faye Glasgow on April 20, 1996.
In addition to his wife, survivors include son Roger Beam and wife Betty Murray; daughters Freda Herrera and husband Leonard, Ann Ward and husband Jimmy, Ruth Zwicker and husband Calvin, Judy Jowers and husband Dennis and Tammy Carpenter and husband Jack; stepdaughters Jolean Barnet and husband Russel and Gailyn Palmer; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Oct. 9 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373 . A funeral service is 2 p.m. Oct. 10 at the funeral home with the reverends Kenneth Womack and Bob Weis officiating. Interment will follow at Marble Falls City Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Roger Fry, Hank Fry, Jimmy Ward, Cody Beam, Spencer Jowers and Sterlin Zwicker.

Elmer married Betty Lou Dewbre, daughter of Jessie Bill Dewbre and Gladys Mae Hobbs. (Betty Lou Dewbre was born on 2 May 1934 and died on 20 Aug 1995.)
