![]() General Notes: John immigrated to America in 1868. (His naturalization was marked Pa.) At the time of the 1900 census, he was a day laborer in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. He rented his home in Carson Heights addition. At the time of the 1910 census, John was a laborer with his own jobs. He owned his home in Portland free of mortgage. In 1920 he was gardening a vegetable garden. ![]() John married Emilie Auguste Naumann, daughter of Karl Heinrich Naumann and Eva Fredricka Schmiedgen, on 24 Sep 1882 in Winchester, Fayette County, Texas.
