  General Notes:

At the time of the 1870 census, Gus was a farmer in Burnet County, Texas (Double Horn post office) next to his father in law's family. He had real estate valued at $400 and personal assets of $250. He was farming next to his father in law's family in Burnet County in 1880 also. He was appointed Burnet County Sheriff in 1881. The family was living in Marble Falls, Burnet County, Texas in 1900. Gus showed his occupation as farmer. He was renting his home. By 1910, Gus owned his home in Marble Falls free of mortgage. He showed his occupation as laborer, odd jobs. On the 1920 census, Gus listed his occupation as retired. He and Rebecca owned their home in Marble Falls.

The cause of her death was cancer of stomach and jaundice.7
