Naoma Watts, 90, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at Regent Care Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with Chaplain James "Jim" Millsaps, of VistaCare Hospice, officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at the funeral home.
Naoma was born in Owl Creek, Texas, to the late Henry Thomas "H.T." and Laura (Geiselbrecht) Wall. She attended school at Flat and Grove, Texas, and on July 27, 1948, married Arlie E. Watts at her sister's home in Temple. Naoma worked at McCloskey's Veteran's Administration and as a homemaker. She and Arlie moved to Waco in 1955 where she was a member of New Road Church of Christ.
Naoma was preceded in death by brothers, R.T. Wall, of Temple, and Milburn Wall, of Round Rock; and sister, Bertha Mae Wall.
Those left behind to cherish Naoma's memories are her loving husband of 62 years, Arlie Watts, of Waco; sons, Ralph Watts and wife, Sheron, of Early, and Milford Watts and wife, Donna, of Robinson; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Winona "Sis" Faith, of Round Rock, and Pauline Hopson, Mary Evans, and Novie Jean Dixon, all of Temple; brother, Jerry Don Wall, of Round Rock; and she will be remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews.
