Bernadene Lily (Sohm) Rogers
Bernadene Lily (Sohm) Rogers age 74 passed away February 11, 2022 at home in Hamilton Texas with family by her side. Bernadene was born June 3, 1947 in Hamilton Texas to Bernard Sohm and Lily Lorene (Sommerfield) Sohm. Bernadene was the oldest of the 3 kids.

Bernadene was baptized on April 9, 1950 and was confirmed on August 25, 1963 by Pastor Anderson at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Pottsville Tx. On August 5, 1967 she married Henry Rogers at Pottsville Lutheran Church in Pottsville Tx.

Bernadene was a Medication Aide for most of her life working at several different nursing homes. She was also a housewife taking care of 6 children. During her spare time she loved going to stockshows but most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids and great grand-kids.

Bernadene is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Henry Rogers and two daughters Thelia Rogers and Diana Sanders-Hosler. She is also preceded in death by her parents Bernard Sohm and Lily Lorene (Sommerfield) Sohm and several sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.

Bernadene is survived by son Mark Rogers and wife Diana of Little-River Academy, daughter Cissy Couch of Star, son Michael Rogers of Hewitt, daughter Stephanie Sanders and husband Keith of Star, daughter Melissia Head and husband Robert of Caradan Tx, son-in-law Justin Hosler of Gatesville. Grandkids Stephen Gallo, Daniel Gallo, Tarren Smith, Reagan Couch, Kimberly Couch, Cody Couch, Joshua Williamson, Jenna Alkumeidy, Rebecca Rogers, Whitney Klamm, Victoria Lofland, Kaci Sanders, Shelby Thomison, Travis Sanders, Justiana Hosler, Lilly Head, and Breta Head.

She is also survived by 30 great grandkids and 1 great great grandkid along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by one sister and brother-in-law Jaunita and Martin (Buby) Seider of Gustine and one brother and sister-in-law Butch and Doris Sohm of Hamilton. Bernadene is also survived by 2 sister-in-laws Lois Covey of Breckenridge Tx and Forest Jo Lester of Wood-son Tx.

Pallbearers include: Charlie Thompson, Stephen Gallo, Daniel Gallo, Roy Seider, Jason Seider, Phillip Klamm, Tracy Couch, Cody Couch, Travis Sanders, and Trey Johnson.

Honor Pallbearers include: Travis Sanders, Cody Couch, Stephen Gallo, and Daniel Gallo.

Visitation is Wednesday February 16th at Riley Funeral Home in Hamilton Texas from 5-8 pm.
Funeral service is Thursday February 17th at Riley Funeral Home in Hamilton at 1pm.

Internment will follow at the Pottsville Lutheran Cemetery in Pottsville Tx. ²

Bernadene married Henry Rogers, son of Edward Rogers and Eunice Thalia Henderson, on 5 Aug 1967 in Pottsville, Hamilton County, Texas. (Henry Rogers was born on 16 Dec 1940 in Mertzon, Irion County, Texas,³ died on 4 Oct 2021 in Goldthwaite, Mills County, Texas and was buried on 10 Oct 2021 in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Hamilton County, Texas.)
