Evelyn Lawley Bunton

  General Notes:

Evelyn Faubion, 93 of Marble Falls passed away in St. David's South Austin Hospital following surgery. Her son and his family were by her bedside at the time of her death.

Midge was born to Rev. W. S. and Rhoda Dubose Bunton. Her early years were spent in Gonzales, Ft. Worth, Caddo and Brownwood. She graduated from Brownwood High School and the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor. She married Forrest F. (Jack) Faubion December 20, 1941 and they were married almost 63 years before his death in 2004.

She taught elementary school for over 37 years. During those years she taught in Spicewood, Briggs, Center Point, Evant, New Deal, Lampasas, and Marble Falls.

Midge was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marble Falls for 43 years. She taught Sunday School classes wherever she lived. Many lives were touched by Midge as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, teacher, and friend.

Survivors include son, Jim Faubion and wife Doris of San Marcos; son-in-law, Lucius Jones of Spicewood; grandchildren, Linda Faubion Griner and husband Tim of Seguin, David Forrest Faubion of Cibolo, Tim Jones and wife Eleanor of Spring; great-grandchildren, Zachary Forrest Griner, Trent Jones, Tori Jones, and Sophia Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother James Carroll Bunton, husband, daughter Ann Faubion Jones, grandson Steve Jones.

Midge married Forrest Francis Faubion, son of Carl Bernard Faubion and Eva Laura Fowler, on 20 Dec 1941 in Center Point, Kerr County, Texas. (Forrest Francis Faubion was born on 23 Apr 1917, died on 30 Nov 2004 and was buried in Fowler Cemetery, Spicewood, Burnet County, Texas ².)
