VELMA PINSON, 100, of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, in Marble Falls.

She was born Feb. 12, 1906 in Spicewood, Texas, the second daughter of eight children of Carl and Eva Laura Fowler Faubion.

Mrs. Pinson received her teaching certificate in Denton, Texas, and taught one year in Oatmeal and several years in Abernathy, Texas. She married Ray Pinson in Abernathy and they owned the Pinson Pharmacy for 40 years until selling it in 1960. She was a member of the 1935 Study Club for many years.

They moved to Marble Falls in 1963 and she had been an active member of the Fellowship Class of First United Methodist Church and the UMW.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Pinson, in 1993, three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by a son, David Pinson and his wife Wanda of Lubbock; a sister, Cora Lee Gregg of Marble Falls; a sister-in-law, Midge Faubion of Marble Falls; five grandchildren, Cathy Williams, Carla Dixon, Bert Pinson, Kim Haddad and Roger Pinson; five great-grand-children; three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, in the Edgar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Morris and Rev. Max Copeland officiating.

Interment will follow in Fowler Cemetery, Spicewood, Texas under the direction of Edgar Funeral Home, Marble Falls.
Services are entrusted to Edgar Funeral Home, Marble Falls, Texas.

Velma married Ray Pinson on 23 May 1928. (Ray Pinson was born on 6 Jun 1895, died on 25 Mar 1993 and was buried in Fowler Cemetery, Spicewood, Burnet County, Texas ⁴.)
