When Marcus registered for the WWI draft on 12 Sep 1918, he was general manager of Gallup Incorporated in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. His wife, Belle Chapman, was his nearest relative. He was accepted into the Sons of the American Revolution at age 69 based on the record of Colonel Abraham Buford. Social Security had his last residence as Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona.
