Lois Schwartz, 80, of Burnet died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005. Funeral services will be held today, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Vanderveer St Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Burnet City Cemetery under the direction of Edgar Funeral Home of Burnet.
A native of Llano, County, she was born Oct. 24, 1924, the daughter of Hiram and Nona Ligon Williams. She was a 1942 graduate of Burnet High School. She attended Abilene Christian University and then attended a number of professional schools. She worked for the U.S. Navy through civil service during World War II. She then worked for State Farm agents for many years and Shell Oil until her retirement. She was a faithful member of the Vanderveer Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, R.C. Schwartz Sr. of Burnet; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C. Jr. M.D. and Debra Schwartz of Dallas and Paul E. M.D. and Mary Lane Schwartz of Henderson; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Colquitt Nash of Plainview; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, S.A. (Albert) Williams of Barksdale and Loyd Williams of Franklin; three sisters, Ophelia Lynn of Bertram, and Vera Geer and Edna Brown, both of Abilene; and numerous nieces and nephews.
