Harris, born in Alabama, was listed with the family. John was still farming Lawrence County, Alabama (Post Office Mt. Hope) in 1870. He had real estate valued at $500 and personal assets of $327.

The surname appeared to be spelled Steenson, Stinson, and Steinson over the census years. There was only one grave in the FindAGrave.com database for Steenson, none for Steinson, but 370 for Stinson. (I couldn't find any of this family there.)
