Jane's cattle brand was a flying U recorded on 19, May 1863. Jane owned a nice sized herd and kept the same cattle brand throughtout her lifetime. Upon her death her estate sold the brand. Selling a brand meant that all livestock bearing the brand was included in the sale.
Jane married Robert Hume.
