Buddie Lee Sutherland of Goldthwaite, Texas died Thursday, June 3, 1999 at his home in Goldthwaite. He was 75 years of age.
Mr. Sutherland was born January 28, 1924 in Bandera County, Texas, the son of William Fredric "Fred" and Sara Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Bessent) Sutherland He married Wanda Ruth Crelia on April 29, 1952 at Waco, Texas. Mr Sutherland was a heavy equipment operator in Mills County for 20 years. He served in the United States Air Force.
Survivors are his wife, Wanda Sutherland of Goldthwaie; two sons, and their wives, Danny and Leslie Sutherland of Goldthwaite, and Tim and Suzy Sutherland of Round Rock, Texas; three daughters, and their husbands, Kathy and Andy Cook of Goldthwaite, Jan Sutherland of Magnolia, Texas, and Gayle and Rob Black of Pinehurst, Texas; 18 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one niece, Marie Dixon of Goldthwaite.
Graveside rites were conducted under the direction of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars at the Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery in Goldthwaite, Texas on Saturday, June 5, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating with Jack Vaughan, minister of the Assembly of God Church in Goldthwaite.
