Billy Charles Burns

  General Notes:

Billy Charles Burns, 71 of Goldthwaite, died Dec. 25, 2010, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were Dec. 29 at Stacy-Wilkins Chapel. Interment followed at Center City Cemetery in Center City, TX. He was born on Jan. 6, 1939, to Jesse Bryan and Era Polk Burns in Wingate, TX. He married Patricia Hendricks June 1, 2002 in Center City, TX. He was retired from the Navy and also enjoyed retired life. He went to church at Center City Baptist Church and was also invloved in V.F.W. -A Legion, Fleet Reserve, TSTA. Survivors include his wife, Patricia "Pat" Burns of Goldthwaite; his children, Guy Burns of VA, Leslie Blanchard and Alan, Julie McConnell and Scott and Jesse Burns and Bobbie; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Era Burns; his sister, Lorene Barbee and his first wife, Joyce Burns. Pallbearers were Tim Barbee, David Barbee, Leslie Wood, Michael Barbee, Neal Barbee and Jay Campbell. Honorary pallbearer was Jesse Head. Arrangements were under the direction of Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home of Goldthwaite.

Billy next married Patricia Ann Hendricks, daughter of Taylor Richard Hendricks and Bernice Marler, on 1 Jun 2002.¹ (Patricia Ann Hendricks was born on 21 Aug 1941 in , San Saba County, Texas, died on 29 Dec 2023 in Coleman, Coleman County, Texas and was buried on 2 Jan 2024 in Center City Cemetery, Center City, Mills County, Texas.)
