Garry Lee Boykin Granbury--Garry Lee Boykin, 72, met Jesus face to face on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father Harvey "Boots" Boykin, his mother Huldah Boykin, and his brother Larry Boykin.

Garry grew up in Star Texas and worked on his family farm. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Arts from the University of North Texas, Garry worked for BorgWarner. He then spent the next 37 years with General Electric/Sabic and was the leading salesman in his region. Garry was not ready to retire. He had endless energy and a passion for woodworking, fishing, gardening and entertaining.

Garry was a strong man with a soft heart who enjoyed the company of his family and friends. His love for Jesus and his family guided him through each day.

Garry was a focused, intentional, passionate person who always gave his best. He was a spiritual man and was involved in many church activities. He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and his generous and compassionate spirit. Garry loved big and anyone that knew him could share numerous stories of how he impacted their life. His family and friends will miss his fun-loving nature, his sense of humor, his keen intelligence, and his sense of curiosity.

Garry is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Nancy Boykin, son John and wife Deb Boykin, son Jason and wife Lori Boykin, son Damon Hopkins and daughter Jennifer Mapes and husband Shawn. He was a proud grandfather to Katie Boykin and great-grandfather to Finn and Zinnia. He is also survived by his sister Patsy Cook and his many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am on August 10 in Star, Texas for family and close friends. Due to the pandemic, the service is invite-only. Flowers and condolences can be sent to Stacy Wilkins Funeral Home Goldthwaite, Texas.
