Service will be at 4 p.m. today in Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home chapel with burial in Oakview Cemetery in Mullin.
Born March 22, 1920, in Mills County, he was a rancher and Army veteran of World War II. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Spinks of Goldthwaite; two sons, Jimmy Spinks of May and Randall David Spinks of Houston; two brothers, Marvin Spinks of Goldthwaite and Lindy Spinks of Sanger; five sisters, Lois Harmon of Carlton, Inez Hammond of Goldthwaite, Mildred Anderson of Brownwood, Jo Ann Turner of Hobbs, N.M., and Adeline Leverett of Monahans; four grandchildren and a great grandchild. 1
Lewis married Dorothy Jean Hamilton, daughter of Walter Lee Hamilton and Grace Jane Mapes. (Dorothy Jean Hamilton was born on 25 Aug 1924 in Winters, Runnels County, Texas, died on 18 Jul 1991 in , Brown County, Kansas and was buried in Oakview Cemetery, Mullin, Mills County, Texas.)
