Lois Louisa (Black) Williams, 90, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, at Riley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Lois was born in Pecan Wells, Texas, to the late Bob and Sudie Black. Lois married Hershel Williams in Coleman, Texas, on November 19, 1940. They were married 68 years and 8 months. They raised four children; Wanda, Darla, Gary & Bobbie. Hershel and Lois spent the majority of their married life in the Shive Community, Hamilton Co. Texas. Lois was a loving wife and mother. She played sports when she was in school and actively supported her children and grandchildren in all school activities. She loved working in her garden and canning the things she raised. She had a wonderful sense of humor and wasn't above pulling practical jokes. She was active member of her church in Shive. She loved raising baby sheep, and other various farm animals. She also loved oil painting, and was very creative and imaginative. Lois loved camping, cooking and family gatherings. Lois loved God, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel; a daughter, Wanda Plagens; sister, Ogie Yeager; grandchildren, Clinton Young, and Alisa Plagans; and -grandson, James Ravenstahl.

She is survived by daughters, Darla Riley, of Scurry, Texas, and Bobbie Young and husband, Steve, of Hamilton; son, Gary Williams and wife, Mary, of Montalba, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters, Cleta Hunt, of Moline, Texas, and Velda Sanders, of Star, Texas.

Lois married Hershel Eric Williams on 19 Nov 1940 in Coleman, Coleman County, Texas. (Hershel Eric Williams was born on 3 Aug 1922, died on 26 Aug 2009 and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Hamilton, Hamilton County, Texas.)
