Gwendolyn Maxine "Gwen" Griffin, 89, of Center City, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Goldthwaite.
Born Sept. 23, 1931, in Menard, Texas, she was a daughter of J.D.Wright and Lily Wilson. She married Charles Lee Griffin on June 25, 1949, in Goldthwaite.
She was a retired Nursing Home aide, and a memeber of the Center City Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children, Sharon Rush of Stephenville, Linda Griffing of Houston, Ron Griffin & Gina of Goldthwaite, and James Griffin & Rita of Early; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ann Hogan of San Antonio, Gene Wright of Burnet, and Felton Wright of Goldthwaite.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. Wright & Lily Wilson Wright; her husband, Charles Lee Griffin; her daughter, Debbie; and her sister & brother.
No visitation was set. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Mills County, Texas, where interment will follow.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite. 1
