GOLDTHWAITE — Funeral services for Tommy Davis, 85, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 12 at Center City Baptist Church with Dallas Huston officiating. Burial will follow at Center City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home.
He died Sunday, July 9, 2017.
He was born June 23, 1932 in Tuscumbia, Alabama to Wiley V. Davis and Anna Lou Callahan Davis. He married Charlotte Carter on June 23, 1952 in Iuka, Mississippi. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife Lottie Davis of Goldthwaite; son, Thomas O. Davis Jr. and wife Cindy of Andrews; daughters, Shevawn Thompson and husband Danny of Elgin and Karen Hunter and husband Mike of Midland; sisters, Geneva Willingham, Mamie Lou and Ola Vee Payne, all of Tuscumbia, Alabama; brothers, Gene Davis and Donald Davis of Tuscumbia, Alabama and Melvin Davis of Florence, Alabama; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby. 1
