GOLDTHWAITE — Stanley Bessent, 74, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016.
He was born May 4, 1941 in Brownwood to Melvin Bessent and Ione Stanley Bessent. He married Katherine Meredith on July 17, 1961 in Austin. He was a bookkeeper and a member of the Priddy Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Bessent of Goldthwaite; daughters, Mary Knacke and husband David of Early and Deborah Harman and husband Robert of Brownwood; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Rex Bessent of Brownwood.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lanny Bessent.
Stanley married Katherine Meredith.
