Johnny Davis Carr, 82 of Arlington, Texas passed away, Friday, Feb.2, 2018.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Greenwood Chapel Arlington, Texas
Johnny was born Dec. 12, 1935, in Caradan, Texas, to Garner and Velva Carr. He graduated from Goldthwaite High School in 1953. He married Anna Lurlene Haynie of Comanche, Texas, on Oct. 17, 1959.
Johnny has lived in Arlington since 1963. He worked in Grand Prairie, Texas, for 40 years in the sheet metal fabrication industry. He retired as the V.P. of a manufacturing company.
Outside of work, he enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and sharing the produce with friends and family. He also spent many years raising livestock on his ranch in Mills County.
Johnny was a member of Lamar Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas and enjoyed serving in his church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Bobby Carr, Glenn Carr, AG Carr Jr; a son, Kevin Ross Carr; and a daughter Karen Denise Young. Brother Phillip Carr passed away on February 3.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anna Carr of Arlington, son, Bryan Carr and wife Vicki of Tolar, Texas; granddaughter, Kristen Carr of Stephenville, Texas; grandson, Clayton Carr of Tolar; and grandson, Kevin Michael Young of Mansfield, Texas.
To his family he will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and good nature. 2
