Viola Collier Roberts
Viola Collier Roberts of Goldthwaite, Texas passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Goldthwaite Health and Rehab Center. She was 86 years of age.
Viola was born December 24, 1923 in Mills County, Texas to Marvin King Collier and Lucille McMurray. She married Gus Bradford Roberts in Grand Prairie, Texas and they moved to Goldthwaite from Arlington in 1987. Viola was affiliated with First United Methodist Church. She loved to sew and was a homemaker.
Services were held at Stacy-Wilkins Chapel on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Pastor Carlos Cloyd officiated. Interment was at Fall Creek Cemetery in Hood County, Texas.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law Marge Collier of Ransom Canyon, Texas and Mary Sue Collier of Keller, Texas; niece Jan Collier; and cousin Glynn Collier of Goldthwaite, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Gus in 1985, twin brothers Roy Arnold Collier and Ray Donald Collier.
