Voyd Henry, 80, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011, in Bowie, Texas.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2011, in the Drawing Room of the White Family Funeral Home with L.B. Rainbolt officiating.

Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. til' 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at the White Family Funeral Home.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Parkinson Research Foundation at 8586 Potter Park Dr. Sarasota,FL 34238; or to the American Diabetes Association at P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312.

Voyd was born November 24, 1930 to Doran and Gladys Lillian(Fields) Henry in Star, Texas. He graduated from Star High School and joined the United States Air Force. Voyd married his high school sweetheart,(Othie) Sue O'Neal, on January 12, 1951 in Lometa, Texas. He worked for American Airlines for twenty-seven years until he retired as a mechanic supervisor. Voyd enjoyed collecting antique clocks and going to antique auctions and flea markets. He is remembered with love and appreciation for his devoted years of life as a husband, father, and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dudley Henry; sister, Ruth Lanell Poore.

Voyd is survived by his wife, Sue Henry of Bowie; three children, Ronnie(Randall) Henry and wife, Jan of Weslaco, Michael(McCalin) Henry of Wichita Falls, and Vicki(Sue) Chappell and husband, Lowell of Sunset; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Voyd married Othie Sue O'Neal, daughter of Ernest O'Neal and Leona Alice Tubbs. (Othie Sue O'Neal was born on 4 Jan 1932 in Moline, Lampasas County, Texas, died on 5 May 2013 in Bowie, Montague County, Texas and was buried in Smyrna Cemetery, Sunset, Montague County, Texas ².)
