RUTH D. ENGLE
Ruth D. Engle, 68, Topeka, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 1994, at her home.
Mrs. Engle worked for various state offices for 20 years before she retired from the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts of April 1, 1989.
She was born Jan. 16, 1926, in Valley Falls, the daughter of Lacy and Marie Dixon McAfee.
Mrs. Engle was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She was married to Bill Engle on April 25, 1945, in Walters, Okla. He died March 6, 1984.
Survivors include two sons, Dan Engle, Boulder, Colo., and Tom Engle, Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, Marjie Rathert, Valley Falls, Sharon Stevens, Winchester, and Tasha Berentz, Manhattan; five brothers, Herman McAfee, Sedan, Jim McAfee, Anchorage, Alaska, Donald McAfee, Lecompton, Eldon McAfee, Harrison, Ark., and Russell McAfee, Sedan; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Davidson Chapel. Burial will be at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Mrs. Engle will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care, Inc., 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, 66606.
