Robbie Kerby of Goldthwaite, Texas passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014 in Plano, Texas. She was 84 years of age.

Robbie was born February 25, 1930 in South Bennett, Mills County, Texas to Walter Simpson and Jewel Stevens Simpson. She married Clyde Lawrence Kerby on February 18, 1957 in Waco, Texas and has lived in Mills County all of her life. She was a member of Goldthwaite First Baptist Church and was affiliated with the Mills County Museum, Mills County Historical Commission, Ladies Auxiliary, NARFE, Texas Botanical Gardens & Native American Interpretive Center. She made her living as a Nursing Home Administrator and Homemaker, Ceramics Teacher, Seamstress and Farmer.

Services were held on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel, Goldthwaite, Texas. Bro. Doug Holtzclaw officiated. Interment followed at Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery, Goldthwaite, Texas.

Pallbearers included Steve Jones, Shelby Jones, Jim Rowland, Lee Rowland, Jon Ross Jones, Joshua Reinert, and Jeremy Reinert. Honorary pallbearers include John Oglesby, Richie Reid, Terry Fisher, and Walt Kovar.

Survivors include her sons and spouses Steve Jones and Dedra, Goldthwaite, Texas and Shelby Jones and Sue, Woodward Oklahoma; grandchildren Jessica Jones, Jon Ross Jones, Whitney Jones Lord, Josh Reinert, Jeremy Reinert, Sandy Attwood, Janet Haskins and husband Tony; eleven great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and spouses Marilyn and Tommy Treadaway, Jim Rowland, Lee Rowland and Kelli, and Martha and Ronnie Beard; and her friends at the Mills County Museum and Historical Commission.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter Simpson and Jewel Stevens Simpson, husband Clyde Lawrence Kerby, sisters Earline Knight and Florine Rowland.

Memorials may be made to Mills County Museum, Mills County Historical Commission or The Legacy Plaza. Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home, Goldthwaite, Texas handled all arrangements.

Robbie married Clyde Lawrence Kerby, son of Hewlett McDonald Kerby and Sallie Elizabeth Laxson, on 18 Feb 1957.¹ (Clyde Lawrence Kerby was born on 20 May 1912,¹ died on 5 Aug 2000 ¹ and was buried in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery, Goldthwaite, Mills County, Texas ².)

Robbie next married Malcolm Eugene Jones, son of Charles W. Jones and Lola E. Edwards. (Malcolm Eugene Jones was born on 4 Sep 1928 in Zephyr, Brown County, Texas,³ died on 19 May 1989 and was buried in Zephyr Cemetery, Zephyr, Brown County, Texas.)
