Graveside Rites Held December 17 for Dessie Harper
Dessie Harper of Star, Texas, died Sunday, December 15, 2002 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center, Brownwood, Texas. She was 80 years of age.
She was born August 22, 1922 in the state of Oklahoma to Andrew and Birchie (Day) Caldwell. She married Sammie Harper on June 9, 1941 at Brownwood, Texas. She had lived at Star, Texas most of her life. She was a Baptist. She was a housewife.
Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson, Will Gault. Survivors are her husband, Sammie Harper of Star, Texas; two daughters, Darla Guill and Beb Gault, both of Star; three grandchildren, Dixie Goulant of Star, David Clary of Moody, and Jeff Clary of Gatesville; and seven great grandchildren.
A graveside service was conducted Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hurst Ranch Cemetery, Star, Mills County, Texas. Lowell Skaggs officiated at the final rites.
