Stephen Blakely, aged about 70 years, died about 10 miles east of Oneonta last Thursday and was buried at the Glover grave yard the next day. He had been afflicted with rheumatism for about 25 years. He was born at Chepultepec and has ever since lived in the county. He is the father of nine children which are now living. His father and grandfather both died in this county many years ago. His grandfather was in the Revolutionary War. [The Southern Democrat, 28 Jun 1900]
