Mildred Carlisle Reid Davis
Funeral services for Mildred Davis, 93, of Brownwood, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Dayton House officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis passed away on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Mildred Carlisle was born on November 19, 1914, in Mills County, the daughter of William Milton Carlisle and Sallie Elizabeth Smith Carlisle. She loved fishing, dancing and playing cards. She was also very talented and loved playing the piano and organ. Mildred had lived in and around Brown County most of her life; she was a member of the Early First Baptist Church and was currently attending church at Red Stone where she resided.

She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of great-nieces and nephews and great great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Milton and Sallie Elizabeth Carlisle; her first husband, Bill Reid; her second husband Marshall Dale Davis; five brothers and four sisters.
