James Herman Autry, 79, Hickory Flat, died July 28, 2009 at N. MS Medical Center in Tupelo. Services were July 31 at Bluff SPrings Baptist Church at Ashland, with burial in the church cemetery. McBride Funeral Home was in charge. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Autry; one daughter, Joy Marie Grundhoefer, Birmingham; three sons, James Steven Autry and wife Connie, Hickory Flat, Eugene Randall Autry and wife Donna, and Richard Bryan Autry and wife KAthy, both of Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Mary Fortner and Jean Tidwell, both of Ashland; 7 grandchildren and 6 ggrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgue Cleveland and Grace Ellen Brown Autry; two sisters, ELizabeth Purcell and Ann Knight; and two brothers, Harley Autry and Seth Autry. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Shawn Autry, Chris Autry, Randall Autry, Andrew Autry, Adam Autry and Nicky Elliott. 2
