General Notes:
When Manley registered for the WWI draft he was a farmer in Lower Penasco, New Mexico. He requested an exemption because his wife and child were dependent on him for support. At the time of the 1920 census, Manley rented his home in Tularosa, Otero County, New Mexico. He was a rancher on a goat ranch. His parents were born in Texas. At the time of the 1930 census, Manley was a farmer in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. His father in law, Albert Shoults, was listed as a farm laborer and living with him. Manley owned his home valued at $2100. He moved to Leesville, Louisiana, in 1935.
Social Security had his last residence as Vinson, Harmon County, Oklahoma.
