Linda Lois Sullivan Reid (Nani), 71, of Balch Springs, Texas passed away on Easter Sunday April 5, 2015. Linda was born on February 28, 1944 in Mesquite, Texas. She was a member of First Christian Church in Mesquite and was baptized at the age of 12. Linda graduated from Mesquite High School in 1962. She married the love of her life, Jerry Reid, in 1963. They just celebrated 52 years of marriage.

She co-founded The Saleplace in 1977 along with her husband and partners Bill and Billie Gage. She had a special love and talent for making flower arrangements, football mums and corsages. Her passions in life were traveling the world, spending time with grandchildren, friends, and family. Linda was honored with a lifetime PTA membership, served on the Balch Springs History Committee, and was a Supporter of the Friends of the Library. She was highly active in peewee drill with the Cowboys and Raiders. Linda was an unselfish woman who touched and inspired many people. Her smile and laughter could light up a room.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; daughter, Teresa Hobbs and husband, Frank; son, Greg Reid and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Amanda Coleman and husband, Derick, and Mitchell, Jason and Chloe Reid; and great-grandchildren, Dakota and Hannah Coleman. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Hurst and Florine Sullivan; and sister, Evelyn.

Visitation: Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home in Mesquite from 6 to 8pm. Funeral: Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in Laurel Oaks Funeral Home Chapel at 11am. Interment will follow at Mesquite Cemetery.
