  General Notes:

Stephen founded the church called Pine Log Methodist Church in ca. 1834 and served as a pastor until his death. The original church (barn) was destroyed during American Civil War and but second church was rebuilt and still using in a service. It is one of U.S. National Register of Historic Places (see http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM2RX3) today.
