![]() General Notes: When Vaughan registered for the WWI draft on 1 Jun 1917, he was assistant manager of Alfalfa Lumber Company out of Clovis, New Mexico. He was single. He claimed an exemption "On account dont believe in war on account relitious belief." At the time of the 1920 census, Vaughan was a retail lumber salesman. He rented his home in Coweta, Wagoner County, Oklahoma. A lodger, Van E. Cox 25, was listed with them. At the time of the 1930 census, he was manager of a lumber yard. He rented his home in Albany, Shackelford County, Texas, for $32 a month. ![]() Vaughan married Lillian Bumstead Cline, daughter of Peter Perry Cline and Lucinda May Thomas, on 18 Oct 1917 in Heber City, Wasatch County, Utah.1 (Lillian Bumstead Cline was born on 9 Jun 1899 in Missouri 5 6 and died in Apr 1984 6.) |
