Jimmy Manuel, 69, of Goldthwaite, passed away Tuesday, Oct., 26, 2021.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at Sta-cy-Wilkins Funeral Chapel in Goldthwaite, where services will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Pecan Wells Cemetery in Hamilton County.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite.
Jimmy 'Sparky' Manuel
Jimmy "Sparky" Man-uel, 69, of Goldthwaite, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, at Goldthwaite.
He was born Jan. 27, 1952, in Weatherford, to Mark Manuel and Lorene Geeslin. He married Bar-bara Kay Jurek on July 8, 1972, in Mills County. They were married for 49 years.
He was an electrical line-man and a retired member of the Goldthwaite VFD.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Manuel of Gold-thwaite; children, Tracy Flores & Jessee of Mc-Gregor, and Brandon Man-uel & Brandy of Priddy; grandchildren, Zacc & Kasandra Timmerman, Halie Timmerman, Cotie Timmerman, Chelsea Hill-iard, Michelangelo Flores and Troy Garrison; great-grandchildren, Josef Tim-merman, Freya Timmer-man, Elijah Garrison, and Malachi Timmerman; and several nieces and neph-ews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mark and Lorene Geeslin Manuel, his brother, Tommy Joe Manu-el, and his nephew, Tommy "Tooter" Manuel Jr.
Visitation was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at Stacy-Wilkins Chapel prior to services at 11 a.m. with Dayton House officiating. Interment was in Pecan Wells Cemetery in Hamti-lon County.
Pallbearers were Rus-sell Wiedebusch, Wesley Manuel, Lanton Avants, William Manuel, Juan Her-rera, and David Schwartz. Honorary pallbearers were Donald White, Larry Jurek, Dennis Roberson and Jim-my Jones.
Sparky married Barbara Kay Jurek, daughter of Steve Sylvester Jurek and Agnes Annie Abschneider.
