James W. Bivens 1921 - 2008
James W. Bivens, 87, passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2008. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet. James was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Boyd to Ella and James Bivens. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a machinist for Bell Helicopter for over 30 years and a longtime member of the VFW.

James was preceded in death by both parents and three brothers. Survivors: Wife of 58 years, Rita Bivens; sons, Mike Bivens and wife, Debbie, of Pratt, Kan., and David Bivens of Fort Worth; daughters, Linda Coffee and husband, Gary, of Springtown and Brynda May and husband, Winston, of Keller; six sisters; one brother; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Social Security had his last residence as Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.
