  General Notes:

Osa's parents were Otis and Paralee Summers. His father was born in Mississippi, his mother in Louisiana. His siblings were Carl, Tobias, Earl, Dora, and Henry. All were born in Indian Territory or Oklahoma once it became a state. At the time of the 1910 census, he lived next to them in Waurika, Jefferson County, Oklahoma. He owned his home free of mortgage. He was a boiler maker for Round House.

When Osa registered for the WWI draft on 5 Jun 1917, he was a boiler maker for Chicago Rock Island Railroad in Chickasaw, Oklahoma. He had a wife and 1 child and claimed an exemption for their support. He gave his birth place as Marsden, Love County, Oklahoma, but Oklahoma wasn't a state when he was born. Instead it was Indian Territory. At the time of the 1920 census, the family lived in Enid, Garfield County, Oklahoma. He owned his home. He continued as a boiler maker for the railroad.
