Mrs. Sudie Algood of 111 Sawyer, a Denton resident for 50 years, died Sunday at 8:15 pm in her home. She was 70.

Mrs. Algood was born in Maypearl and was a member of the Green Valley Methodist Church. She was the widow of F. E. Algood.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Tuesday in the Schmitz Floyd Hamlett Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Green Valley Cemetery north of Denton.

Survivors include one son, Hershel Algood of Denton: two daughters, Mrs. G. A. Lloyd of Denton and Mrs. Bill Tucker of San Antonio: Mrs. W. I. Burrow of Waxahachie; two brothers, Don Jackson of Dallas and John Jackson of Orange Cove, California and one grand child.

Note: I believe Mrs. Burrow must be a sister. This is the way it was in the newspaper.

Sudie married Fred Elgin Allgood, son of John Bannister Allgood and Sarah Jane Ingram. (Fred Elgin Allgood was born on 23 Mar 1890 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama, United States,^{5 6} died on 12 Jul 1928 in Denton, Denton County, Texas ^{5 7} and was buried in Green Valley Cemetery, Denton County, Texas ⁵.). The cause of his death was struck by lightening.³
