Barbara Ruth Ellsworth of Parker, Texas passed away on January 24, 2020 at the age of 92. She was born on January 13, 1928 to Joseph "Ned" Lytle and Lillie Pearl (Dodson) Duncan in Mills County, Texas. Barbara grew up in Mills County, Texas where she attended schools and graduated from high school in Lometa, Texas. She married Robert Melton "Mitch" Miles and he preceded her in death. Barbara married John Bruce Ellsworth in 1994. She was a member of First Baptist Church Richardson and worked as a church hostess for 25 years. Barbara enjoyed singing in the choir and traveling on church trips. She loved cooking, arts and crafts, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her husband, John Bruce Ellsworth of Parker, Texas; son, Robert Miles and wife, Cindy of Odessa, Texas; Mark Miles of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Kari Kacor and husband, Adam, Mitch Miles, Cylena Holeman and husband Rick, Clifton Miles, April Shuffield and husband, Gavin, Angela Scott and husband, James, and Justin Wales; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lillie Duncan; husband, Robert Melton "Mitch" Miles; daughters, Debbie Burch and Vickie Blanchett; son, John Paul Miles; brother, Ray Duncan; and sister, Caramel Miles.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020 at First Baptist Church Richardson, 1001 North Central Expressway, Richardson, Texas. Interment will follow at Center City Cemetery in Center City, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
Barbara married Robert Melton Miles, son of Harvey Carroll Miles and Beaulah May Kerby. (Robert Melton Miles was born on 13 Aug 1922 in , Mills County, Texas,3 died on 12 Sep 1971 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas 3 and was buried in Center City Cemetery, Center City, Mills County, Texas 3 4.). The cause of his death was cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, diabetes mellitus.
Barbara next married John Bruce Ellsworth.
