He had a large household consisting of his wife Emma, daughters Nellie, Annie, and Mary, mother Eliza Smith and sisters Mary E. and Rebecca L. There were also 3 servants and 2 others living there who worked on the farm. At the time of the 1900 census, George was a lawyer and farmer in Rogersville, Hawkins County, Tennessee. He owned his farm free of mortgage. In 1910, he was shown only as a lawyer and the census showed that he owned his home free of mortgage. ![]() Additional Information: • Alt.
