When he registered for the WWI draft on 12 Sep 1918, he was working as a photography clerk for Ryburn & Rensch in Chillicothe, Missouri. His wife, Kathleen, was his nearest relative. At the time of the 1920 census, he was a merchant of photo supplies in Chillicothe, Livingston County, Missouri. He rented his home. He was registered to vote Republican in Los Angeles County, California, in 1944 and 1946. He was a photographer. LaRoy married Kathleen J. Cline, daughter of Peter Perry Cline and Lucinda May Thomas.1 (Kathleen J. Cline was born on 25 Jun 1892 in Missouri 8 9 10 and died on 1 Apr 1967 in , Orange County, California 9 10.)
