General Notes: Jacob Broscious, great-grandfather of Charles H. Broscious, of Sunbury, farmed in Lower Mahanoy township, this county, and lived in the vicinity of Uniontown, where he died about 1848, at an advanced age. He is buried in the lower end of the county. In religion he was a Lutheran. To him and his wife Catharine Reisel were born the following children: Daniel, John, Jacob, Elias, Samuel, Lydia, Catharine,Maricha and Sally.
