  General Notes:

Dr Jeremiah Berry IV had four wives. His first, Lavena Cromwell, he married on July 17, 1828, by Rev I Jacobs.. Lavena was born in 1808, had two children and she died in March 14,1831 at age 23. His second, Catherine Harriett Brosius, he married on June 21, 1831. They had two children and she died in 1848 at age 35 years. His third, Mrs. Elizabeth Frances White he married on Oct 8, 1850, and divorced in March 1852. His fourth, Elizabeth Zumwalt, he married in August of 1853 and they had six children.

He was several times a member of the Maryland Legislature and was the author of the bill granting the Charter to the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. He graduated with High Honors at the Old Baltimore Medical School in the year 1846. He moved to Cooper Co, Missouri and afterwards to Franklin County, Missouri. At the time of the 1850 census, Jeremiah was a physician in Franklin County, Missouri. His household included son, Andrew J., second wife Elizabeth and her daughter Mary J. He had real estate valued at $2200.

Jeremiah married Catherine Harriet Brosius, daughter of George Brosius and Margaret Shafer, on 21 Jun 1831.^{2 7} (Catherine Harriet Brosius was born on 7 May 1813 in , Washington County, Maryland ^{7 8} and died on 20 Dec 1848 ⁶.)

An alternate marriage date of 16 Jun 1830 was recorded by the Works Progress Administration Historic Marker Project in 1936 from Berkeley Springs, Morgan County, West Virginia court house records.
