![]() General Notes: Billy was the youngest son of Council Ellis and Lucretia Hendricks Ingram. He graduated form Marshall County High School in 1915; entered the University of Alabama in 1915. When William registered for the WWI draft on 5 Jun 1917, he was farming in Oneonta, Blount County, Alabama. He was single. He volunteered to serve during the war, and after brief training, was sent overseas; commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, 54th Infantry, 6th Division, Alabama; killed in the line of duty; buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, France.
